This is a friend of mine. He has a genius level IQ. He was born with the breakable disorder and he is a dwarf who is in a wheelchair. He also is an artist and won the Congressional art award at 18 years old I think it was. He was asked to work on theoretical physics after a fall, invited to MIT. He does music mixing and he plays Juliard level and applied at a school in Boston but was not accepted because he doesn't use his hands to do it. He is into BDSM believe it or not and all his g/fs have been full sized. He is really something special and he is also a tattoo artist but I don't know how he does it but he does. He may draw the art and have someone else put the tattoos on the client. I don't know because Brian wouldn't tell me. I' ve been asked to speak to you all today on the subject of chaos magick which in actuality is something I'd always done before I knew someone put a name to it. I've studied many aspects and traditions of the occult and various religions but never saw one as being adequate. Chaos magick is and isn't a set tradition. It's simply a way to put a name to a mish--mash of anything and everything. The only truth I honestly found was that all traditions do the same things, simply through different means.



I'd often run into two groups of people arguing over the 'proper' method to perform some given task magickally when in truth, the argument was simply a personal choice. I'm obviously not a Christian by any stretch of the imagination, but I even went to mass with a friend once and did the Hail Marys for kicks and discovered it was no different than the fervor a voodoo priest works himself into by chants. In essence, chaos magick addresses the core mechanics regardless of dressing. It's the core processes and methods that occur with people and things regardless of the way one choose to do it. I often tell people I never rely on 'tools' or 'herbs' etc because 'I dont want to suddenly feel UNMAGICKAL Tools are simply a focus, whatever makes you feel more powerful.



Which brings me to my earlier statement about the current baseball game, prior to the lecture commencing. In the past 3 games I started wearing my hat backwards when the yankees were at bat, and forward when the redsox are at bat. Now why does that seemingly stupid, superstitious trick work? Simply because I devised the mechanics for myself, if it makes sense to me, it WILL work.



As far as paths go, I chose LHP because it was simply me. I avoided it for a long time but once I looked more into it, It was very much ME naturally. I have a choice to use a tool or not, .BUT using a tool doesn't always make you dependant. I like how its put in satanism that you CHOOSE to fool yourself for a short time, but at least its a choice.



Now that I've spoken on the basic premise of chaos magick, how do the mechanics fit into this? Well this is another reason it has the name Chaos Magick, it follows many of the same concepts as chaos mathematics. To affect change at large it starts with a seemingly insignificant local change or what's more effective is the ability to perceive the surrounding state at such a high level, that you have a better basis for decision to go in the desired direction. I'll explain. I don't know how many of you have ever read Dune by Frank Herbert. When I was a kid, he helped me mesh the logical side of myself witth the feeling that there was more than what was apparent, but he did it in a VERY logical manner. The 'witches' in his book were just women who heightened the 'natural female intuition'. Lady Jessica knew he was lying, .not because she read his mind, but she saw the tiniest of facial hints that most miss.



That is how most of magick works to me. It brings me back to my point of personal tools. If I felt the everlasting power of Spongebob then that would work just as well for me as something else would for another person. We have the ability and it's actually better to CREATE one's own mythology than to attempt to adopt anothers. If it isn't personal you can't reap the emotional effect needed, because that's where the battery for magick lies. In intense emotion; fear, pain, elation, laughter.



Emotion creates a state in the brain that allows you to pay attention to more things than you would normally. That's why the biggest "charge" I have comes from what resonates on an emotional level, never mattered if I was at an altar or in the car or whatever. Hurt and rejection, or pining is something discussed in satanism quite a bit. It is the way you allow another to have control over you. All is within you, not to say you can't get hurt at times, but ultimately you have the choice.



Intense emotion elevates the senses on a parasympathetic level. Therefore, it's best for the emotion to swell to such intensity that it's unbearable. As I said earlier you should never really have to go to such extremes if you deal with the issue bite by bite usinng chaos. If you should use anger as an emotion to fuel yourself even though meaning a "good" outcome you had ill will as the power behind it even if you logically intended to do 'good', the outcome could be negative. We try very hard to 'do the right thing' when if we do it right, we always do the PROPER thing. The biggest goal in chaos magick is to remove that unpredictability by being able to SEE the chaotic link.



Back to Dune, the Quizats Haddarrach will go where we can not. Paul had intuition, but he could add it up logically and see the outcome as it stood at the time. That was his ability, the mentat training. This is the most interesting bit about the occult for me, I virtually stopped studying the occult and i have. I don't DO magick anymore. I discovered how to simply be magick. If i do my little hat trick there's no elaborate setup for me. Magick is like brushing my teeth or eating. I don't even think about it half the time. I just go, and anyone can do that when they understand the dressings and trappings of ritual. It's still useful as long as you understand that the source is still you. There may be a time when you forget about the concept of energy altogether.



Onto my final point. I mentioned seeing the chaotic path and noticing more variables than most, what I've found personally that alot more can be accomplished not by trying to force onces will per se, but in simply being able to see the situation, environment, or person to such a high degree that you get all the information needed to make an informed decision on action. The actions that lead to the desired results, and you already do this all the time it's just that half the variables are subconsiously recognized. A person's given reality is 99% perception. That's a major factor as well. I'm saying it won't be such a job as 'researching' . Listen to the information you receive on multiple levels all the time. People think I'm crazy because I act, then think, but I always come out unscathed or even for the better. Recognizing subtle impressions as well as overt ones, which is what I do. I receive all the information I can and add it up almost instantly and then go.

I think this is probably mostly an LHP thing but i never have regrets. Everything I do, wherever it leads me, I knew what I was doing.



Some believe magick occurs in everyday life, all the time... the "how much do you want it" thing. You focus enough, you're getting all those different impressions and you just go with it. That can also backfire on you too. You want it bad enough, you're also afraid to lose it and may just jynx yourself. I think I just stopped asking if I was acting good or bad. Good and bad changes per year, era, culture, it's totally subjective.
